This tour is slightly different from your typical walking/historic tours and we really enjoyed it. It was recommended to us by a native Colombiano and I can see why. Our guide David was clearly knowledgeable and passionate about his countries produce. We tried a good variety of fruits and learned about their origins and uses. The only downside was leaving with new favourite fruits that we will never be able to buy back home…

A must try tour in Medellin! Sofia, our guide, was so knowledgeable about the fruits that we now feel like pros being able to identify and buy fruits that we had no idea what they were before. She went out of her way to answer our questions and she was also very respectful of the vendors that we stopped at. Definitely worth the money and the market was fun to explore afterwards. We strongly recommend ubering to/from the market, but the market itself was safe and enjoyable (and great to get some groceries!).
We had Sofia and she was an excellent guide! Super thorough details about the fruit and even where it comes from in Colombia and how people typically eat it. Great group of people joined as well. Highly recommend so you can learn about all the fruits and shop for yourself easier.
